Doctor Who: Short Trips: A Day In The Life: The Five O'Clock Shadow


Five O'Clock Shadow written by Nev Fountain timeline code number #0.4 is the most unique short story I have read this far. Its told in a poem style, which sounds extremely satisfying, The whole poem being in rhyming couplets.

*Spoilers*


This poem is told from the perspective of Dr.Who the 1960s film doctor played by Peter Cushing and goes into how him and Suzy came to be. Its quite genius, The Doctor our Doctor creates a fictional Doctor and Susan who are the theatrical versions.

Of course this is one of many creations of how the films fit into canon, and I think as a quick story in this quick review Nev did a good job explaining it. However due to other explanations which I think are more fun, its not gonna be a recommended re-read but its defiantly worth at least one.

Doctor Who: Short Trips: Quality of Leadership: The Price of Conviction

The Price of Conviction time line code #0.12 *spoilers* The story opens with Susan commenting on how the doctor enjoys the company of humans more then there own people. there is also  signs of Susan wanting to stay in one place and settle down. when  the Tardis Lands the Chameleon   circuit  takes the form of a shed which is quite funny to think about. as Doctor and Susan talk to a merchant and its revealed a trial is happening. The Doctor gives the merchant a gem and he becomes extremely  on edge trying to hide it and not let anyone see it so it doesn't  get stolen, the merchant warns the doctor of being careful with his wealth. I love how this comes after alchemist with a story about money showing the Doctors still learning.
