Doctor Who: Unbound: A Storm of Angels

Image
*SPOILERS* A Storm of Angels timeline code number #U0.3 is the 3rd story in this trilogy. It was released in January 2005 written by Marc Platt. Geoffrey Bayldon and Carol Ann Ford reprise there roles as The Doctor and Susan respectfully. From the start this story is gripping, but will i be gripped for long? The Doctor and Susan are running away from a Timelord  for messing with time. At this moment i realise  this is basically a what if The Doctor was The Monk. The Doctors recklessness has also lead to Susan falling ill and having treatment for a virus she caught on her travels. The Angels also make there presents known right at the start, heavenly music starts when they appear and its quite enchanting. The Tardis landing in the Elizabethan era but highly advance era due to The Doctor. When they arrive they meet Sir Fancies Drake played by Cameron Stweart they talk about there travels.  The bond between The Doctor and Susan shines in this story, talking about ther...

Doctor Who: Short Trips: The History of Christmas: The Innocents

Image
The second story of the unbound 1st n Susan trilogy timeline number code U0.2  *Spoilers*  Innocents is also written by Marc Platt continuing his story in short story form. This story is with  Leonardo, an important character in history being a companion. Its a very interesting topic leading to a lot of hijinks for example, The Doctor travelled back in time with him to save some children from King Herald which leads to the funniest thing, A  Donkey in the Tardis! The Doctor being care free feels a lot like The Monk, being quite a liability with his words and actions across time.  In new who terms this trilogy feels very time lord victorious esc, with The Doctor taking lives and time into his hands. The Tardis lands in the 1960s and becomes a Christmas tree, this leads into Susan and Leonardo going to the shopping centre. On there way he starts sketching modern day tech in his notebook with Susan trying to hurry him along.  Marc Platt writes Leonardo ...

Doctor Who: Unbound: Auld Morality

Image
*SPOILERS* This is the start of the unbound 1st Doctor and Susan trilogy timeline number U0.1 Auld Morality was released in May 2003  Directed by Nicholas Briggs  Music by Alistair Lock, this has some amazing music. I love Alistar's portfolio of music in big finish, this truly feels very whimsical like a Disney film. amazing intro and story beat music moments. Written by Marc Platt who has some amazing works under his belt. This story ha s an interesting premise of what if The Doctor and Susan never left Gallifrey. Geoffrey Bayldon carries the presents of The Doctor very well and shows off the  wanting more out of life aspect amazingly. At the beginning  he says, "hes only an observer" its funny if not a little freaky hearing him conform. He is also a best selling author with his best seller an adventure in space and time. Also in this timeline  the doctor still turn down the presidency and still have fascination with earth, so its interesting how they cho...

Doctor Who: Unbound: Deadline

Image
*SPOILERS THROUGHOUT* Starting a doctor who time line marathon with this seems silly, but with the tagline of "what if doctor who was never made?" it just makes sense to put it first.  timeline number code U0.0 This is my first proper written out review so please bare with me :) Deadline is the 5th unbound audio by big finish it was releases in September 2003. It was written by Robert Shearman and directed by Nicholas Briggs.  Deadline is all about a writer called Martin, who is now an old man and struggles with his passion as he is now an older man in a care home. He starts to remember back 40 years ago to his magnum-opus that was doctor who.    lets start with the cast of characters: Derek Jacobi plays the troubled writer, Martin. He neglected his wives and son who he walked out on because he found them boring, which shows how arrogant of a man he is. Derek plays the role wonderfully, I was hanging on his every word, as we slowly explored his mind. Genevieve Swallo...
